of Southern California
A humane organization in the Los Angeles area, Pet Orphans of Southern California has been dedicated to pet rescue, dog and cat adoption, medical care and public education since 1973. They are committed to decreasing the number of animals euthanized annually in city and county shelters by rescuing dogs and cats in need, encouraging adoption, providing information on low-cost or free spay/neuter and vaccination clinics, education, and training.

Best Friends Animal Society
Best Friends Animal Society runs the nation’s largest sanctuary for abused and abandoned animals. They help “unadoptable” animals have a second chance by rehabilitating them and finding good homes for them. Best Friends is guided by a simple philosophy: that kindness to animals builds a better world for all of us.
